To our Amplicare community:
The past few weeks have been an important time of reflection for our company. We have watched as our nation has come to terms with the ugly reality of systemic racism that persists today. We have seen the ongoing pandemic expose the inequalities that exist in how communities are affected and the access, or lack thereof, to adequate care. And we recognize our responsibility in helping to bridge gaps that still exist.
Like you, each member of the Amplicare team is dedicated to healthcare. Many of us can recall the day we took the Hippocratic Oath, promising first to “do no harm” and then to hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards rooted in trust and respect. We understand that in order to live up to these standards, we must actively choose to work toward a truly equitable society.
The events of the past few weeks have shown us that there is still much work to be done to get there. For us, this means promoting diversity and inclusion within our company and beyond. We have embraced the opportunity to participate in necessary, ongoing dialogues as a team and ensure we take concrete actions toward being a part of the solution. We are committed to creating a workplace that values each team member, promotes equity and social justice, and holds each person accountable to these standards.
On behalf of the entire Amplicare team, we are grateful for your partnership with us. We look forward to continuing to support each of you and your pharmacies, and we invite your ideas and participation in the broader discussion.
